Traveler's Checklist

Packing for a trip can be a stressful time for travelers. We have created an easy to use Checklist to ensure you have everything you need:

  1. At least 2 forms of photo identification
  2. Passport that is valid well beyond the date of your anticipated return.  Keep a copy of the identification page separate from the original.
  3. Leave copies of your passport identification page, itinerary, and insurance policy with friends or family.
  4. Required visas
  5. Health and travel insurance
  6. Planned itinerary and budget
  7. Financial needs:  local currency, traveler’s checks, etc.
  8. Vaccinations, prescriptions, medical certificates, any other medical needs
  9. Do you need dual citizenship?
  10. If required, obtain an international driving permit.
  11. Flight preparation: luggage, documentation, and airport security.
  12. If traveling with children, have proper documentation providing your right to travel with them.  Ensure they are properly vaccinated.
  13. If traveling with pets, ensure proper transportation, shots, regulations, etc.
  14. When traveling keep all receipts in a safe place.
  15. Make special arrangements for shipping of food, plants, or animals.
  16. Car rental

  18. Rail reservation
  19. Hotel accommodations
  20. Phrase books of other languages
  21. Reference book for the country or countries you are visiting
