GDS Rates FAQ

 

Q: What is a CCRA rate in the GDS?

A. It is a specially negotiated hotel rate / price for a single or double room, as specified, which is given to travel agency groups. These groups are commonly referred to as consortia or mega-agencies. They represent large numbers of travel agents and present an opportunity to draw volume into participating hotels.

Q: Can a traveler book the CCRA rates on their own?
 

A. The answer is "no". Most of the CCRA rates must be booked via the GDS, although some allow bookings through their respective toll-free 800 reservation centers. CCRA provides member agencies a GDS booking guide which contains all the 800 numbers.
